Ever wondered why your lower back aches during core exercises?
Unfamiliar aches and pains can be cause for concern if you don't understand why they're happening.
Your core consists of your abdominal and back muscles, which work together to stabilize the spine (among, other things). When you're working your core, this contraction can often make your back arch and cause lower back pain if done incorrectly. Having your hands under the lower back is NOT the solution, but hands under your glutes can be!
Your core is incredibly important in all exercises so it's important to keep it strong.
