Why is stretching so important?

You've had a good session, you're proud of yourself for making time to workout, and now you just want to go home. Stretching is often skipped with people thinking it must be better to do a longer workout or that it isn't very important.

Next time you're tempted to skip it, have a think about this:

Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy. We need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints, without it, the muscles shorten and become tight.

A lot of people don't understand that stretching has to happen on a regular basis and it should be daily

If you don’t stretch you put yourself at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.
